Latest speedway results, schedule revealed

Cordele — Watermelon Capital Speedway officials have released the names of the feature winners from its June 30 card as well as a list of races planned for this coming weekend.

The most recent victors were Cody Hale of Americus in the enduro class, James Pennington of Perry in the mini-stock ranks, Lawson Ingold of Social Circle in the bandolero division and Steven Crowley of Adel in go-karts.

This Saturday’s slate will be highlighted by the outlaw late models event. Features also are on tap for bandoleros, legends, mini-stocks, enduros and go-karts.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with practice at beginning at 6:30 and racing at 7:30.
