Dooly, Wilcox cagers to play twice this weekend

Cordele — With the exception of Wilcox County’s Patriots and Lady Patriots, the other eight area basketball teams will bring down the curtain this weekend on the 2012-13 regular season.

Dooly County’s Bobcats (13-6 overall, 9-3 in Region 4-A play) and Lady Bobcats (6-13, 4-8) will travel to Pacelli on Friday at 6 and host Central Talbotton on Saturday at 7.

Crisp County Cougars (8-14 overall, 7-6 in Region 1-AAAA) and Lady Cougars (12-8, 9-4) close out their campaign Friday at 6 against fellow Region 1-AAAA member Americus-Sumter

Crisp Academy Wildcats (8-12 in all games, 4-5 in Region 3-A GISA competition) and Lady Wildcats (24-2, 9-0) will be at home Friday for a senior night observation that tips off at 6 p.m. instead of the usual 6:30.

Fullington’s Trojans (9-9, 6-3) and Lady Trojans (6-14, 3-6) will be the opposition.

Wilcox High’s Patriots (18-3 overall, 11-1 in Region 2-A) and Lady Patriots (3-15, 1-11) have 6 p.m. home twin bills on tap Friday against Clinch County and Saturday vs. Hawkinsville.
