A full slate of basketball games awaits teams representing area schools involved in competition Tuesday evening.
A trio of 6 p.m. twin bills finds Westover at Crisp County’s Cougars (7-12 overall, 6-5 in Region 1-AAAA play) and Lady Cougars (10-7, 7-4), Schley County at Dooly County’s Bobcats (12-3 in all games, 8-1 in Region 4-A action) and Lanier at Wilcox’s Patriots (16-3 overall, 10-1 in Region 2-A) and Lady Patriots (3-13,1-10).
A pair of Region 3-A GISA doubleheaders scheduled to start at 6:30 call for Crisp Academy’s Wildcats (7-10, 3-3) and Lady Wildcats (21-2, 6-0) to host Georgia Christian and Fullington Academy’s Trojans (8-7, 5-1) and Lady Trojans (5-12, 2-4) to entertain Highland Christian.
This Friday’s cage card sends Fullington to Grace Christian of Bainbridge at 5:30, Crisp County to Cairo at 6, Crisp Academy to Randolph Southern at 6:30 and Greenville to Dooly at 7.
A lone Saturday pairing calls for Dooly to visit Wilcox at 6 p.m.

Wildcats weather playoff scares from Crusaders
Heeding the “where there’s a will, there’s a way” adage, Crisp Academy’ Wildcats struggled mightily Friday en route to a GISA Class A baseball quarterfinals sweep of Robert Toombs’ Crusaders.
With its hard-earned wins of 8-5 and 14-11, coach John Penney’s now 14-5 squad advances to the Final Four for a fourth straight year. Its foe in a best-of-three road series expected to start on Friday is Region 1-A champion Bethlehem Christian (13-5-2). - More Local Sports Headlines
