CCMS gridders lose scrimmage game

Cordele — CORDELE — Coming off a 12-2 scrimmage game loss to Turner County last week, Crisp County Middle School officially opened its 2010 season Wednesday against Dooly County.

While results of that game were not available in time enough for inclusion in today’s issue, coach Chris Lamb said his young squad played well in last week’s scrimmage vs. Turner.

“Defensively, our entire unit had a good game; offensively, we need to execute a little better as we continue to learn the (spread) system that’s being employed at the high school level,” Lamb said.
