OCILLA — Strong pitching and lusty hitting carried Wilcox County Middle School to a 5-1 win Thursday over Irwin County.
Greyson Farrow provided the stellar mound work, striking out nine, walking three and holding the home team to just three safeties. He also had a good day at the plate where he joined Josh Jackson in poking a pair of singles and driving in a run apiece.
James Wessel, Langston Sapp, Brandon Martin and David Swain also had RBI hits. Nolan Moorhouse chipped in with a single for the now 3-0 winners.
