Millers sharetop horseshoe spot

Special to the Dispatch

CORDELE — It’s a family affair at the top of the latest Crisp Horseshoe Club standings with the husband-wife duo of Ronnie and Suzanne Miller tied for first with six wins.

George Rackard is in third place and Mary Ann Gibbs and Tom Carter are tied for fourth. Bud Brake was hotter than the weather with his pitching as he had high ringer percentage (72 on 36 of 50) and one of the highest handicap games in club history (182).

Club members are planning to take this coming Tuesday night off from their regular weekly competition as some of its regulars are headed to Springfield, Ill., to compete in the World Horseshoe Tournament.
