New landfill site?

Dear editor:

My regards to Clay Mercer!

All the city and county trash going into the landfill and the use of dumpsters set in certain locations does pose quite a problem, adding more trash on the highways and the area around these sites.

But Clay, you will be glad to know that with the addition of the new landfill in the Meadow Park Subdivision, the county’s trash problems will be somewhat relieved. County officials can rest easy, because no liner is required, thus saving the county thousands of dollars.

After all, this will keep the county taxes as low as possible for the community. There is no maintenance to the new landfill, another cost saving, but the residents of Meadow Park Subdivision are proud to be a part of the community. This site will provide homes for rats, snakes, rogue animals and stray dogs.

We agree with P.E.T.A. That was a great concern. What would happen to all the little animals?

The best part of all is the slumlords will also benefit with the new landfill. The county codes that cover refuse and health issues do not apply.

So who says progress is not good. I think anything that is a plus for Crisp County is a plus for me. Gosh, where have I heard that before?

This site is located just off US 41 North, on Virginia St. There is no tonnage limit or cost.

Are you kidding me? There is no landfill! It just looks like one, and the residents are sick of the trash, junk, high grass and smell. They are tired of rundown shanties, not fit for any human to live in. ONLY IN AMERICA!
