Rome —
Editor:
In January of this year my wife and I moved from Cordele to Rome. We still have many friends in Cordele and consider it home.
We were thrilled about the new Inland Port and Darton expansion as these are both wonderful for the people of Crisp county. New jobs and better education, the two things Crisp needs most.
Now I hear the county commissioners are having a hard time committing the funds necessary to make these projects happen. I know economic times are hard, but these two projects are just too important to let them not happen.
The commission has a long history of working towards future projects like the golf course and resort at Georgia Veterans and the technical college. Please let me urge you to find a way to make this happen for the future prosperity of Crisp county and the wonderful people who live there. They deserve your investment in their future.
