Cordele — Now that combat troops have pulled out of Iraq, the Cordele Dispatch would like to hear how readers feel about the conflict. If you are from the Crisp, Dooly, Wilcox area and you served any time in that country, would you share your experiences and tell us if you think the country will succeed as a democratic nation?

We would also like to hear what non-military readers think about the war effort. Please either respond through this website or e-mail peggy.king@gaflnews.com with your comments by the end of this week.

Victim thanks officers
(A story about a robbery at gunpoint ran in Thursday’s Cordele Dispatch. As is the paper’s policy, the victim was not identified. He submitted a letter of thanks, but asked that he still not be identified.
We are honoring his request because of the circumstances. Sheriff Donnie Haralson and other officers know who he is).
