My name is Timothy Allen Brown and I am a former resident of Wilcox County, now living in Colquitt County, Ga. My family and I have a bigger problem than we can handle alone, and we are seeking help.
It has to do with the Department of Family and Children Services in both Wilcox County and Colquitt County. The clock is ticking, and if something is not done soon, I will lose all my children and my parental rights of the last two children for sure.
I have just over a few weeks to get some legal aid help for free or an attorney to go pro bono and allow us to pay on a monthly basis or we will lose our children.
My children are ages 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and , and it has been almost three years since the problems started back in Wilcox County. I can't stand by and allow this to happen so I started a newspaper campaign in major papers around the state and surrounding states hoping to find someone who can help not just my family but other families who have had their children taken away from them for doing one thing wrong.
We moved to Wilcox County, trying to make a better living for ourselves and our family. I am hoping to find an attorney with a heart who can help us out before it is too late.
The DFCS caseworkers there and my father's niece are good friends which has made our problem in this county even harder because it is very small and everyone knows one another. I know a few more families who are dealing with the same type of problems for no reason at all.
One lost four children to the DFACS office in Wilcox County. The family has told my mother and me they don’t know what they did wrong, but someone make some allegations and that gave the DFACS reason to come in and take the children.
I am not looking for any sympathy from any one, but help. I am not looking for help just for myself but help for others back in Wilcox County, who are going through the same thing I have experienced.
I don't wish this situation on any one but it is time to start standing up for my family, myself and others who more than likely did nothing wrong at all but move to a county looking for better opportunity and end up going through living hell for no reason at all.
Hopefully someone will read this and offer his or her services because we are in need of it. The mentally challenged and mentally ill should not be treated like this because we have problems, but given a fair chance to get the necessary help we need, we can take care of our children.
If there is any legal aid worker or attorney who will look over our case and help us out, please contact us at the following phone numbers, address or email address: 229-890-1837 or 229-589-9268.
