• Infant La’Miracle Ta’Naria Amadi Lewis of Cordele died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by J.W. Williams Funeral Home of Cordele and Vienna.



• Lonnie B. “L.B.” Jones of Cordele died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by J.W. Williams Funeral Home of Cordele and Vienna.



Robyn Wilcox

CORDELE — Graveside services for Robyn Wilcox, 53, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at Seville Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Griffin officiated the services, directed by Frazier and Son Funeral Home of Rochelle.

Mrs. Wilcox died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 in Crisp Regional Hospital.



Andrew Jackson ‘A.J.’ Bodrey

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — A memorial service for Andrew Jackson “A.J.” Bodrey, formerly of Cordele, was held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in the Hospice Chapel in Port Orange, Fla.

Mr. Bodrey died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 in Halifax Hospital in Port Orange.



Cathleen B. Pritchett

DUBLIN — Graveside services for Cathleen B. Pritchett will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Rentz. The Rev. Paul Wilkes will officiate the services. Mrs. Pritchett’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Pritchett died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007.

Born April 30, 1917 in Macon, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Eunice Murray Bush. She lived in Laurens County for most of her life and was preceded in death by her husband, A.P. Pritchett Sr., and her twin sister, Christine B. Harper.

Survivors include her children, Phillip (Anne) Pritchett of Dublin, Lonnie (Ralph) Sutton of Rochelle and Esta Smith of Macon; grandchildren, Sharon Staples, Chad Pritchett, Charles Pritchett, Lynn Ball, Mike Sutton, Lori Hooks, Francene Davis, Calvin Smith, Sondra Woodson, Timothy Story, Carl Story, Debbie Anderson, Bonnie Shuman and Sylvia Oldt; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Cathy (James) Smith and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springdale Baptist Church Building Fund or to the donor’s favorite charity.

J.W. Reed

VIENNA — Memorial services for J.W. Reed were held in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007. The Rev. David Akins officated the services and Monty Penn gave the eulogy.

Marcene Freeman, pianist, played for the service. Elaine Akins led the congregation in singing “I’ll Fly Away.” During the service “Long Black Train” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” were played. The service concluded with a balloon release.

Mr. Reed died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 29, 1941 in Dooly County, to the late Howell L. Reed and the late Ruby Holt Reed. He was a member of the Flint Boat Club and an honorary member of the Vienna American Legion. He was a retired truck drive for Georgia Pacific.

A brother, Autry Reed, a son, David “Bo” Reed and a granddaughter, Amanda Ford, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Reed of Vienna; his daughters, Darlene (Cullen) Ford of Pitts, and Tia (Don) Saporito of Colorado Springs, CO.; a daughter-in-law, Laura Reed of Savannah; his sisters, Betty Reed of Manhattan, KS, and Judy (Russ) Floyd of Sycamore; three grandchildren, Kyle Reed of Savannah, Kimberly Ford and William Ford, both of Pitts.

Patricia H. Davis

PINEHURST — Funeral services for Patricia H. Davis, 69, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Pinehurst Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Pinehurst City Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 in an Albany hospital.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. Hill and Ruby E. Wilder Hill. She was a member of the Pinehurst Baptist Church and the Ladies Fellowship Sunday School Class.

A registered nurse, she had worked at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville and in the practice of Dr. Truman Vasko in Vienna. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Davis of Pinehurst; a daughter, Carol (Dean) Dozier of Warner Robins; a son, Bruce (Winnie) Davis of Pinehurst; and two grandchildren, Jared Davis and Ray Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pinehurst Baptist Church, P.O. Box 157, Pinehurst, Ga. 31070.
