Elaine Eason

ROCHELLE — Elaine Eason, 54, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today in the M.G. Frazier Memorial Chapel of Frazier and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. in the Swearingen Cemetery in Byromville. The Revs. Talmadge Wilcox and Jimmy Gauthier will officiate.

Mrs. Eason was born on Feb. 26, 1953 in Macon County. She was formerly of Byromville, having lived the past 27 years in Rochelle. She was daughter of the late Joseph John Russell and Grace Ray Russell. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Russell in 1989.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Eason of Rochelle; a daughter, Amber Eason of Rochelle; a sister, Laurice Gettys of Tampa, Fla.; and several devoted nieces and nephews.

Bendrick Martraveous Alexander Jr.

CORDELE — Funeral services for Bendrick Martraveous Alexander Jr., 7, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17 in the sanctuary of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The Rev. W.W. Wilson will officiate the services.

Master Alexander died Friday, March 9, 2007.

Survivors include his parents, Bendrick M. Alexander Sr. and Tamika Johnson of Cordele; a sister, Myiesha Johnson of Hawkinsville; grandparents, Polly R. Otis Brown

STANFORD, Conn. — Funeral services for Otis Brown, formerly of Dooly County, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17 in the sanctuary of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Unadilla. Burial will follow in Crossroad Cemetery. Elder Christopher West will officiate the services.

Mr. Brown died Monday, March 12, 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Brown of Stanford, Conn.; two daughters, Lisa Marie Brown and Robin Brown-Crichlo of Stanford, Conn.; two sons, Terrell Lester and Otis (Melony) Lester of Unadilla; three sisters, Willie Mae Perry, Alice M. West and Ruth Lawson all of Unadilla; grandchildren, Antonio, Angelica, Marquell, Sakeyious, Shamiyah and Taylor; in-laws, Charles (Estelle) Harris and Edwin (Wilma) Perry; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

COBB — Funeral services for Priscilla Reese-Wright will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17 in the New Beulah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sue Walker Cemetery. The Rev. W.R. Campbell will officiate the services.

Mrs. Wright died Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Quinton Dennis Jones Sr.

CORDELE — Funeral services for Quinton Dennis Jones Sr. will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18 in the sanctuary of the Cordele Church of God In Christ, with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Supt. Ronald Jackson will officiate the services.

Mr. Jones died Tuesday, March 13, 2007.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Veronica Jones of Cordele; children, Tymira Jones and Quinton Jones Jr. of Cordele; sisters, Norma Jean Jones and Rowena Jones McGiff of Cordele, and Iris Jones of Columbus; a brother, Robert Jones of Vienna; aunts and uncles, Ocie (James) Bryant, Mary (Dea. James Robert ‘Jim’ Ford

COBB — James Robert “Jim” Ford, 57, of Cobb died at his residence on Thursday, March 15, 2007.

He was born on Friday, June  3, 1949, in Lakeland, the son of the late Buie Edward and Lonnie Belle Spells Ford. Mr. Ford was a Navy veteran of Vietnam and was the senior estimator at ConArt.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Rainey Funeral Services on Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m.

He is survived by  his wife, Jan Hart Ford of Cobb; a step-son, Christopher Dorsett and his wife, Kellie of Decatur; a sister-in-law, Anne Pearlman of Leesburg; two nieces and three nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. until time for the service.
