Cordele — Funeral services for Alice Surles Rosser of Cordele will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 2 until time for the service. Mrs. Rosser, 96, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Crisp Regional Hospital.

She was born in Green Cove Springs, FL and was the daughter of the late Lawton L. Surles and Edessa Hiscock Surles. A loving mother and grandmother, she was a homemaker and an active member of Cordele First United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Rosser are her children, a daughter and her husband, Barbara and David Culpepper and a son and his wife, Sunny and Ruth Rosser, all of of Cordele; four grandchildren and their spouses, Rob and Tracie Rosser, Karen and Hunter Hamilton, Dana and Bill Hardy and Dawn and Clay Ward; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Rosser and Rus Hardy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton Forrest Rosser, Sr.; granddaughter, Patricia Lynn Rosser; great-grandson, Preston Sunny Rosser; and siblings, Leonard L. Surles Sr., Raymond Surles and Doris Gloria Surles.
