Wrong teams ran in paper

Cordele — The Cordele Dispatch apologizes that the wrong team pictures ran on a special congratulatory page in today's newspaper. Please see the correct photos accompanying this story.

Crisp Academy Lady Wildcats are playing in the GISA Class A semi-finals today at 1 p.m. versus Curtis Baptist of Augusta in the Mercer University gym in Macon. If they win today, they will play for the championship Saturday.

Fullington Academy Trojans also play in the GISA Class A semi-finals tomorrow (Friday) at 2:30 p.m. Their opponent will be Dawson Creek of LaGrange. A victory in that matchup at Mercer University in Macon will send the Trojans to the state championship game Saturday.

CA's ladies come into today's game with a 29-2 record, and two state championships. They are looking for "three in a row" Saturday.

If they get past Dawson Creek, this will be the first Trojan team to make it to the championship game. The guys go into Friday's game with a 13-10 record.

Please see more information on these teams and their games on today's sports page of the Cordele Dispatch and in the sports section of this website.
