Cordele —
Multiple charges have been filed against a 50-year-old Cordele man who ran afoul of the law when he returned to a residence after being told to not do so.
An activity report submitted to news media members for the period between Thursday-Sunday identified the accused as Anthony Morgan, of 601 First St. N.
He has been cited for criminal trespass, possession of marijuana and obstruction of an officer in the performance of his duties. The latter citation was the apparent result of him pushing an officer while trying to forcefully exit a holding cell at police headquarters/
In other activity, officers:
— Charged a 12-year-old girl with two counts of battery and criminal damage to property after she reportedly assaulted two staff members and broke out a front window of the Ombudsmen alternative school.
— Levied a simple battery charge against Sung Lee, 61, of 1532 20th Ave. E., after he allegedly threw salt on some customers while engaged in a Saturday argument at Golden Beauty.
— Received three burglary and two theft complaints in which no details were provided for what was taken or how access was gained to the missing items.
Burglaries were reported on Thursday from 315 22nd Ave. W., on Friday from 610 N. Joe Wright Dr., and on Saturday from 601 Bay Ave.
Theft complaints were made on Thursday from 1024 16th Ave. E., and on Friday from 605 16th Ave. W.
— Issued traffic citations to nine persons.
Those arrested on Saturday and charges against them were Eldred Gaines, 53, of 1104 12th St. S., no insurance and a seatbelt violation; Larry Oliver Jr., of 1402 Cork Ferry Rd., excessive radio volume; Dennis Woodson, 42, of 301 Fifth Ave. E., DUI and suspended license.
Also, Benison Florence, 46, of 614 Third Ave. E., stop sign and expired driver’s license; Arturo Espinoza, 34, of 1016 Drayton Rd., seatbelt violation and driving on an expired license, and Arnulfo Espinoza, 26, of 1016 Drayton Rd., driving on an expired license.
Cited on Sunday were Eric Curry, 583 Ashley St., Rochelle, seatbelt violation, suspended registration, and suspended license; Porfirio Hernandez, 37, 279 Ross Crossing Rd., seatbelt violation and driving while unlicensed.
Also, Allen Reynolds, 25, of 604 12th Ave. W., failure to maintain line, open container, DUI (second offense) and driving on a suspended license (second offense).
