Cordele —
Multiple charges most of which involve traffic-related offenses have been filed against a 19-year-old local resident.
A Cordele Police Department press release detailing activity for Tuesday and early Wednesday identified the alleged offender as Eric Jarnard Green of a 19 Rosewood Circle address.
Green has been cited for possession of marijuana, expired vehicle tag, failure to apply for a new driver’s license within 60 days of a change in name or address, failure to dim headlights, driving in violation of license restrictions and improper tag light.
In other activity during the period covered by the activity report, officers:
— Charged Alonza Wayne Towns, 25, of 1205-B 13th St. S., with shoplifting after he allegedly took items out of Walmart without making payment for them.
— Investigated a burglary at 504 Third Ave. E. and a theft at 906 Eighth St. N.
— Ticketed James Jackson Reed, 30, of 2624 U.S. Hwy. 41 N., for DUI, failure to maintain lane and an adult safety restraint violation.
— Cited a 16-year-old girl for being a runaway.
