CORDELE — City police officers continue to run the gamut of animal complaints to investigate.
On the heels of previous requests officers have received to remove dogs, cats, snakes and rats as well as a possible rabid fox from various locations, Lt. Carrie Lull was asked Tuesday to get a lizard out of a closet at a Woodvale Apartments address.
Speaking tongue-in-cheek on her incident detail report, Lull noted the reptile was “resistant about being evicted” before adding that with “the proper application of motivation he walked out the door.”
In other activity during the relatively quiet period from Tuesday to early Wednesday, officers:
— Charged Brittany Finece Wilson, 23, of 606-B 23rd Ave. W. with aggravated assault (domestic violence) and affray.
Lt. Frank Wise made the cases against Wilson after being dispatched at 5:33 a.m. Tuesday to an apartment in the Sunset Homes complex on 22nd Ave. W.
With the exception of the notation that a knife or cutting tool was involved in the incident, the officer’s report provided no details in the case.
— Received a pair of theft complaints.
A resident of the 900 block of Eighth St. S. told Cpl. Bruce Gourley that someone recently entered her 1996 Nissan Sentra and removed a Pioneer CD player from the dash.
A resident of the 1500 block of 20th Ave. E. told Sgt. Charles Pheil that someone had stolen her son’s bicycle from the back porch of her home. It was described as a brown and orange Rampage brand.
— Made a lone probation violation arrest.
Sgt. Charles Pheil said he cited Latosha Nichols, 20, of 504-D 23rd Ave. W. when she came to the police station Tuesday evening to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant.
