CORDELE — Just after 12 noon today Cordele Police and Cordele Fire Department responded to a fire call located on Blue Lane here. Although flames were visible upon arrival it appeared that the fire stayed contained and did not spread to the entire home. The cause of the fire was the clothes dryer, which firefighters removed from the home. There were residents home at the time of the incident, but they escaped the home without injury.
