Crisp deputies nab wanted persons
From STAFF REPORTS
CORDELE — Alert Crisp County Sheriff’s Department deputies apprehended last week two persons wanted on warrants issued in Habersham and Tift counties.
Sgt. Avery Hillman said he was on routine patrol making a security check at a convenience store located on U.S. 41 N. when he realized a Ford van he saw there matched a lookout placed by Habersham authorities.
A check of the occupants in the vehicle revealed that Yvonn Parker Brown, 48, was wanted for a probation violation in reference to counterfeit substances.
Deputy Al Smith was also on routine patrol on Clay Pit Rd. when he saw a parked car that matched the description of a vehicle Tift County lawmen were seeking. An occupant, Carrie M. Harrell, 23, was wanted for a probation violation.
In other activity between June 10-16, deputies:
— Charged Lakisha Blanks Merrell with criminal trespass after she allegedly admitted entering the home of her ex-husband, securing a knife and then cutting both passenger side tires on a vehicle parked outside his residence. Damage was estimated at $50.
— Received six theft reports.
Filing them were Roy Johnson of 2126 S. Hwy. 41, Regina Luwan Johnson of Lot 53 at 2106 S. Seventh St., Ronnie Wilkey of 4245 Bedgood Avenue in Arabi, Michael Mann of 1610 Hwy. 41, N., Anna Nicole Kinchens of 154 Pearl Street and Darryl Lewis of the 200 block of Carrol Rd.
