ASHBURN — Georgia’s nationally acclaimed 4-H performing arts group, Clovers & Co. will entertain at Turner County Civic Center on Saturday May 9, at 7 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Turner County Arts Council, The Grass Roots Arts Program and South Georgia Banking Company.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the door or from any Arts Council Member.
Clovers & Co. is composed of forty-two talented singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and production crew members from across the state of Georgia.
Members of the group include Carmen Savelli from Tifton, Hunter Brock from Ashburn, Austin French from Cordele and Tareva Moore from Sylvester.
The group members range in age from 10 to 18. Clovers & Co. performs on behalf of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Cooperative Extension’s youth program, 4-H.
The Clovers & Co. show features forty-five minutes of singing and dancing backed by a live band. Songs of the past and present are combined in a fast-paced show that all ages will enjoy. The theme for the show this year is “Turn Up the Music.”
Performing arts is one of the most popular projects in the Georgia 4-H program. Clovers & Co. was created to provide 4-H-ers with an opportunity to share their talents with others.
Established in 1981, Clovers & Co. has been performing for twenty-seven years. Over one hundred 4-H-ers audition during the group’s annual statewide tryouts for positions in the show cast. The group is led by 4-H volunteers and state 4-H staff members.
