Poker run will benefit Easom

CORDELE — Police SSgt. Gordon Easom has been battling a serious ailment for 10 months, and he is unable to work right now.

To help him pay for his insurance, several local motorcycle clubs are sponsoring a poker run next Saturday, March 14.

Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. in the Cordele City Hall front parking lot. The fee is $25 per bike/cars and $10 per non-rider. Passengers without a poker hand will pay $5.

T-shirts will be on sale for $10 to persons who don’t register for the run which begins at 10 a.m.

The game will consist of five cards that will be handed out along the route. Two hundred dollars will go to the best hand at the end of the event.

Sponsors include the Black Dusters MC, Dixie Riders MC and Cordele Cruisers. Everyone is invited to participate.
