CORDELE — Retiring Magistrate Court Judge Guy D. “Pete” Pfeiffer, as well as all city and county elected officials will be honored with separate receptions Thursday afternoon.
The reception for Pfeiffer begins at 3 p.m. in the county agriculture building at 110 W. 13th Ave. He has served as the county’s chief magistrate for 25 years during which time he also was a practicing attorney.
Now that he has fully retired, Pfeiffer and his wife, Charlotte are moving to the Atlanta area.
Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce invites the community to stop by the Community Clubhouse between 5 and 6:30 p.m. and pay tribute to all elected officials in the county and the cities of Cordele and Arabi.
Chamber President Monica Simmons says these individuals give a substantial amount of their time, often for very little pay, to serve the people of Crisp County, Cordele and Arabi. “During this special time of the year, let’s show them that we appreciate their sacrifice and hard work,” she said.
