ARABI — The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) wants the local community to be aware of several upcoming bridge replacements in Crisp County.
The project includes replacing bridges over Lime Creek, located on County Road 71 (Amboy Road), approximately 2.0 miles east of Arabi; Deep Creek, located on County Road 357 (Hawpond Road), approximately 5.8 miles east of Arabi; and Reedy Branch, located on County Road 357 (Hawpond Road), approximately 4.9 miles east of Arabi.
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 4-6 p.m. the GDOT will hold a detour open house concerning the proposed bridge replacements. The meeting will be held at South Georgia Technical College, Crisp County Center, located at 402 N. Midway Road. The purpose for the open house is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the proposed detour routes.
Representatives from GDOT will be available during this time in order for the public to have an opportunity to view detour displays, ask questions and discuss the detour with a department representative. The meeting will be informal.
