Cordele —
Police are continuing their investigation into the Saturday night shooting of a local night club employee.
An activity report released by the department for the period between Friday and early Tuesday identified the victim of the aggravated assault as Bobby Fenn, 49.
According to the news release, officers were dispatched to The Game Room at 208 11th St. S. just after 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Fenn had been shot both in the chest and in the ankle.
From what little information they were able to gather at the time, the responding officers were told three males in dark clothing entered the room shooting while Fenn was reportedly in the process of clothing. The trio is said to have fled after a brief struggle.
The incident report noted the motive behind the shooting is still unclear and that no further description of the gunmen was provided as both the victim and witnesses were not very cooperative with the officers.
Fenn was initially taken by ambulance to Crisp Region Hospital and then later transferred to an undisclosed acute facility for treatment of what is believed to be a serious large caliber wound to his foot.
The bullet that struck Fenn in the upper torso is believed to have been fired from a small caliber weapon.
Spokespersons for the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon and Phoebe Putney and Phoebe North in Albany said they had no record of Fenn being a patient at their facilities.
Anyone having information that may help police make resolve the case is asked to call headquarters at 276-2921.
