CORDELE — City voters here have a final opportunity to cast ballots in the city commission runoff election this Tuesday, Dec. 1 which is actually election day.
Polls will be open in the Ag Annex on 13th Ave. W. behind the Crisp County Government Center (old courthouse) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Two commission seats will be filled with this runoff election. Voters will choose a chairman and the Ward III representative. Both winners will begin their terms in January.
Incumbent Commission Chairman Zack Wade faces opposition from Antwoine Yowe. These two men received the most votes in the Nov. 3 general election, but neither gained the required 50% plus 1 to win the seat without a runoff.
Ward III Incumbent Commissioner Jeanie Bartee will meet Larry Felton in the runoff. Only those voters who live in that ward will vote in this election.
