Club seeks scholarship funds

CORDELE — Rotary Club members here are seeking help from the community in securing the future of the Cordele Rotary Cup and Scholarship.

Through the John Hines Foundation which was created by the club four years ago, anyone is able to make a tax-deductible gift to help sustain and increase the scholarships offered each year with the Rotary Cup.

Just recently, John Hines has offered to match all donations dollar for dollar that are made before Dec. 31 of this year with his maximum donation being $5,000.

Each year, the Rotary Club has given the coveted cup and a scholarship to the male and female with the highest academic averages both at Crisp County High School and Crisp Academy.

Checks may be made out to the John Hines Foundation and mailed to P. O. Box 1113, Cordele 31010 or delivered to Bob Evans at Ameris Bank.
