DOOLY COUNTY - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Dooly County that extends through Saturday.
Some residents of the Unadilla area saw rising waters in their yards and homes this morning. People in low-lying areas and those near Turkey Creek and other creeks in the county should be aware that they could experience some flooding on their property during the next few days.
Steve Rentfrow with the Crisp County Power Commission said no flooding on the Flint River is anticipated. The deluge of rain that fell in the Atlanta area is going into the Chattahoochee River, he said.
Isolated flooding in Dooly County has been caused by excessive rainfall in some areas there.
