Cordele — Sixth graders at Crisp Academy recently studied states of matter. To illustrate, they made plastic out of milk. Students added vinegar to hot milk, separating the curds and whey, then made objects such as hearts, cubes and animals out of the clay-like curds. After drying for 24 hours, the milk 'plastic' was as hard as a rock. Allie Brown, Annie Laurie Hays, Halle Newman and Michelle Lee show off their milk plastic designs.
