Vienna —
Keep Vienna Beautiful and the city of Vienna public works department have provided information for all persons who are recycling or needing to discard certain items.
Anyone who is recycling cardboard should break down boxes before putting them in the recycling dumpster located at the recycling center adjacent to the Police Department.
Glass items that are to be recycled should be placed in a cardboard box and carried to the McMillian building (former Red Kap on E. Pine St.). KVB Director Larista Thompson said boxes should be left at the roll up door on the west end of the building if no one is there.

First quarter pickups are scheduled for Jan. 9 and 23, Feb. 13 and 27 and March 13 and 27.
Finally, old furniture and other large items should be placed on the curb for pickup the 4th Wednesday of each month. Those dates for the first quarter of this year are Jan. 23, Feb. 27 and March 27.
