Abbeville sets celebration



ABBEVILLE—An annual Black history celebration will be held here on Saturday, Feb. 24 in the park on Cherry Street immediately following a parade which begins at 11a.m.

To enter the parade, interested participants should call William Dwight at (229) 467-2729 or Emanuel Phillips at (229) 467-2373. All entries must have some form of Black history displayed on them.

Free food and drinks will be served. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy this historic event. Anyone who would like to be on program, should call Leroy Williams at (229) 467-2305.

Booths for vendors will also be available.
