Cordele — The Reginald Barry Senior Center held their 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day party and crowned their royal court. Contestants for the crowns strutted their stuff for the judges and in the end J.W. Womack and Carolyn Gaughf (center) were crowned King and Queen. Flanking them on the left and right are the 2013 Prince Jerry Dennard and Princess Annie Coffen. After crowning attendees enjoyed a Valentine’s party with plenty of sweet treats.

Michelle Brazel named Crisp teacher of the year
A second grade teacher at J. S. Pate for the past 14 years, Michelle Brazel has been named Crisp County’s teacher of the year.
