New Orleans, LA —
Lance Corporal Randy Devon West, son of Randy and Marie West of Cordele will be one of 10 U. S. Marines performing at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, LA today.
West is a member of the Marine Reserve Band in New Orleans, LA where he has been stationed since August 2012.
A 2011 graduate of Crisp County High School where he was a percussionist from 6th through 12th grade, he graduated from Marine boot camp in Parris Island in January of 2012.
From there, he was transferred to Camp Lejeune, SC., then in February of 2012, he was transferred to the Navy School of Music in Virginia Beach, VA where he underwent music training for 6 months.
He was one of the top honor graduates in the August 2012 graduation ceremony.
Lance Corporal West also is the grandson of Arthur and Lorene West and Kizzy Parham, all of Arabi.
