CORDELE — Do you need some jeans for back-to-school? Do you love jeans that are already broken in and soft? Do you like a bargain?
The Crisp Area Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store is having a “Jeans Bonanza” on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Thrift Store, 205 E. 15th Ave. in downtown Cordele.
The Thrift Store has other gently used items that you may need. What about toys or children’s clothes? Do you need a framed picture to go on the wall over your sofa? Or maybe you need a sofa? There’s no telling what sort of treasures you might find at the Habitat Thrift Store.
All profits from the Thrift Store go to support Crisp Area Habitat for Humanity as it carries out its mission of building simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with selected Crisp area families who need a decent home in which to live.
The Thrift Store also provides a place for folks to recycle household items and building supplies that are in good, useable condition thus preventing waste and reducing cost to the consumer.
Habitat’s Thrift Store has helped local people in times of crisis by providing clothes and household necessities. It partners with local agencies in back-to-work programs and in providing a place for volunteers to work to improve our community.
Regular store hours are Wednesday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations of clothes, household items and building supplies are accepted during those hours and also on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
