Two injured in wreck

Cordele — Two people were injured, one a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol, in  a motor vehicle accident Wednesday. Crisp County Sheriff’s Department and Crisp County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene located at the intersection of Hwy 257 and Tremont Road. The Georgia State Patrol vehicle caught fire in the area of the trunk and had to be extinguished. It was uncertain as to what caused the accident or if any charges may be filed against either party. The unidentified trooper was transported by ambulance to Crisp Regional Hospital and a passenger in the Ford Fusion was treated at the scene.
