Vienna —
Keep Vienna Beautiful Commission is displaying a “lights from the heart” Christmas tree in the George Busbee Park here throughout the month of December.
A formal lighting ceremony is planned for Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
Citizens are invited to purchase a light to honor or remember a loved one. All proceeds from this project will be used for community beautification.
Lights are $5 each and may be purchased from a commission member or by dropping by Vienna City Hall, 203 W. Cotton St. Donations also may be mailed to Lights from the Heart, P. O. Box 436, Vienna, GA 31092.
KVB Director Larista Thompson will need to know each donor’s name and the name(s) of people honored or remembered when checks are submitted.
Deadline for sending donations for this year’s tree is Dec. 21.
