Subjects sought on outstanding warrants arrested

Cordele — After picking up a man wanted by Houston County authorities on Tuesday, Cordele Police Department officers had the favor returned when a local man they had been seeking was nabbed by Dooly County.

A press release submitted to news media members identified the subject wanted for probation violation in Houston County as Walter A. Hickman, 48, of 804 Fleming Rd. He was taken into custody after being grabbed and struck by Jerry E. Jones, 51, of 604 First Ave. E. Jones was cited for disorderly conduct.

Dooly County, meanwhile, detained Jeffery A. Davis, 38, of 410 Eighth Ave. W., Cordele, on warrants charging him with aggravated assault and obstruction of an officer in the performance of his duties.
