Cordele —
Christmas came early to CAAA (Crisp Area Arts Alliance) in the spring of 2012.
The gift was a wealth of knowledge and secrets to a successful tour of homes, and the giver was legendary tour trailblazer, Mrs. Rita Adams. The CAAA is privileged to share this gift with the community this holiday season with our 2012 Christmas Tour of Homes, in memory of Mrs. Adams.
When it originated, the purpose of the tour of homes was to inspire holiday home decorating ideas. Throughout its history, many of Cordele’s homes have been showcased.
This beautiful tradition continues in 2012 with five charming, beautifully decorated unique homes. Styles range from traditional to contemporary to eclectic and down right funky!
Like the varied styles of their homes, the owners are diverse themselves...from newlyweds to newborns to retirees. Each distinctive house is a reflection of the families who inhabit them with all the excitement and joy that comes with celebrating the holiday season!
Homes featured on the tour include those of Jonathan & Michelle Sinyard, Heath & Genie Hamilton, Jerry & Connie Carney, Gary and Mary Ann Huffman and W.C. & Faye Webb. These homes will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
Tickets cost $15 for CAAA members and $20 for non-members. They may be purchased at the following locations: Crisp Area Arts Alliance Center, Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce, JW Designs, Crimson & Clover, The Parlor- Albany. They also will be available the day of the tour at Crisp Area Arts Alliance.
Tour participants are invited to attend pre-tour and post-tour receptions with door prizes awarded at both. The un-official kick-off and pre-tour reception will be at the CAAA Center, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club will host a post-tour reception beginning at 5 p.m. with light refreshments and a 10% discount on dinner at Cordelia’s.
Preceding the tour, each home will be featured in the Cordele Dispatch. See page 6A in today’s paper.
