Lambtown —
A local man died from injuries he sustained while working on a dumptruck behind his home over the weekend.
According to reports from the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office, 79-year old Arthur “Art” Smith Lamb was working on the vehicle behind his residence when the bed of the truck came down pinning him between it and the chassis of the vehicle.
Rescue workers and EMS were dispatched to the Lambtown residence in Dooly County at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday after Lamb was discovered by his wife. Reports indicate that she had been looking for him for several hours before discovering the accident. Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear what caused the bed of the truck to fall, causing Lamb’s death, but it seems to have been a tragic accident.
