BOE appoints Troy Pullin delegate for conference

CORDELE — At Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, Troy Pullin was appointed delegate for GSBA Summer Conference and Delegate Assembly in Savannah on June 11, 2010. Allen Musselwhite was selected as his alternate.

In other news, three more days will need to be adjusted on the 2009-2010 school calendar due to a work schedule reduction. The plan is to count the snow day, January 8th, as a reduction day, plus May 20th and 21st. Graduation will remain the same, May 21, 2010. Early release days will be changed to May 18th and 19th, and post planning will be changed to May 20th and 21st.

There was also discussion of a roofing repair at the Pabco building. Due to inclement weather on March 2, 2010 the lower flat roof of the Pabco building was damaged by wind force. To repair the lower roof, the upper roof would have to be replaced. The roof is twenty years old and is in need of replacement.
