Cordele —
Two persons were picked up on outstanding warrants and two others were arrested for shoplifting during weekend activity conducted by Cordele Police Department officers.
Taken into custody for other law enforcement agencies who had been seeking them were Lenequatta Cherry, 25, of 902 11th St. N., and Daryl Laster, 45, shown as “homeless.”
The former was being sought by the Crisp County Sheriff’s Department and the latter by Turner County. The charges faced by Cherry and Laster were not specified on an activity reported submitted to the news media.
Cited for shoplifting at Walmart were Heather Beach, 29, of 502 Seventh Ave. E., and Brittany Mullis, 18, 9f 2227 Ga. Hwy. 33, Rochelle.
In other activity between Friday and Sunday, officers:
— Arrested Willie Covin Jr., 32, of 607 16th Ave. W., for probation violation.
— Charged a 15-year-old who cannot be identified under Georgia law for violation of the city’s baggy pants ordinance and hindering or obstructing an officer in the performance of his duties.
— Ticketed Joe Williams Jr., 59, of 505 22nd Ave. W., with battery and public intoxication and Dontavia Towns, 23, of 712 11th Ave. W., for public drunk.
— Issued traffic citations to four persons.
Natasha Woodson, 32, of 311 Second Ave. W., was cited Friday for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Tomario Butts, 33, of 1905 Cloverdale Circle, was booked Saturday for safety restraint violations for an adult and child and driving while unlicensed or with an expired license.
April Wiley, 37, of 1512 S. Pecan St., was also cited Saturday for driving while unlicensed or an expired license, failure to maintain lane and a child safety restraint violation.
Taylor Hughes, 18, of 185 Lakeview Circle, was charged Sunday with speeding in excess of maximum limits and possession of marijuana.
