Cordele — Crisp County Commissioners have honored Sheriff Donnie Haralson by renaming Rehab Rd. Haralson Rd. and the EMA building the D. R. Haralson Public Safety EMA/EOC Center.
Chief Deputy Billy Hancock read a proclamation to that effect and presented Haralson with a plaque Thursday morning at the regular county commission meeting. Numerous present and former colleagues of the sheriff were on hand for the special presentation.
Haralson said, "I am honored and humbled. Thank you to the people of Crisp County for allowing me to serve as your sheriff."
