Chase ends in crash

Cordele — The driver of a vehicle was taken to Crisp Regional Hospital after he crashed into a building while attempting to elude law enforcement.

An attempt at a routine traffic stop led to the high speed chase which involved two sheriff's deputies. The name of the driver and the details have not been released. The chase ended on 1st Street across from the county's bus shop when the driver being pursued lost control and hit a light pole before running over a fire hydrant and crashing into a building.

Crisp County Sheriff's officials along with the Cordele Police Department, Crisp County EMS, and the Cordele Fire Department responded to the scene.
