CORDELE — Where would you go, what would you do if disaster struck? Personnel with CRH staged a mock disaster around the area to evaluate the performance of members of various agencies in the event that an actual occurrence ever took place in the area. Participating in a number of exercises were Crisp Regional hospital, GEMA, Crisp EMA, Crisp EMS, Crisp County Sheriff's Office, Crisp Fire and Rescue, and Cordele Fire Department. Each agency handle the scencario, which involved a tornado hitting the area causing damage to the hospital and other areas. Each agency handled the scenario as though it were real and were evaluated on their performance. Volunteers also included students from SGTC and staff members from LaFarge North American Cement. More information will be made available as results of those evaluations are completed.
