Hospital to participate in drill

CORDELE — Crisp Regional Hospital will participate in a disaster preparedness drill on Thursday, July 9.

Hospital officials want to stress the fact that this event is only a drill which will be conducted as an exercise to prepare those involved for a real disaster.

Various departments at Crisp Regional Hospital will participate in addition to representatives of city and county public safety and emergency agencies.

According to hospital representatives, the drill activities will not interfere with the regular operations at the hospital or any of its departments.

“As part of Crisp Regional Hospital’s dedication to the community, we have decided to participate in this drill to ensure everyone involved will have the knowledge and training necessary to carry out a disaster plan,” stated Danny Greene, CRHS safety officer.
