Dublin —
DUBLIN — Recent Wilcox County graduate, Chris Coley, was badly injured in a wreck early Sunday morning around 7 a.m. Trooper Tim Brantley with the Georgia State Patrol in Dublin responded to the scene saying Coley had suffered a head injury along with a broken jaw.
"He had run off the road," Brantley said, "where a creek was and struck a cement retaining wall while still in the air. Coley's air bag deployed which is probably what caused the head injury."
Yvonne Jackson, Coley's aunt, said Chris has undergone two surgeries so far at a hospital in Macon and is still unresponsive. Look for further details in Thursday' s Cordele Dispatch.
