CORDELE — A Dooly County woman was injured in a mid-morning wreck Tuesday on North Seventh Street where it intersects with Highway 41.
According to Cpl. Robert Montgomery of the Cordele Police Department, at around 11:20 a.m. yesterday Peggy Peavy of Vienna was headed north on Seventh Street in her Dodge minivan. As she prepared to round the curve to head west on Highway 41, a Ford F-450 work truck, driven by Robins Mobley of Macon apparently ran the stop sign and plowed into the driver’s side of Peavy’s van.
Crisp County EMS responded to the scene and transported Peavy to Crisp Regional Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Yesterday afternoon, her treatment was continuing in the hospital’s emergency room. A passenger in her van, as well as the Mobley subject were not injured.
As a result of the incident, Mobley was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Implausible chickrabs
You will not believe it! Shoot, I wouldn’t believe it myself had I not observed the sight with my own eyes.
Yesterday was hot. I mean really hot with the humidity high and the temperature within a couple of degrees of 100 even after 8 p.m. when I began my daily run through the woods and fields of the backside. - Support projects
