Cordele — CORDELE — Funeral services for Ella Mae Walker better known as “Aunt Shug” will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in the sanctuary of the Friendship Baptist Church, Oakfield. Burial will follow in the Friendship Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Walker passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010.

A wake of service will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the chapel of J.W. Williams Funeral Home, Cordele. An online registry is available at www.jwwilliams.com

Miriam Naomi Hamilton
Funeral services for Miriam Ivey Hamilton of Cordele will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Pinecrest Baptist Church, Cordele. Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jack Jr. and Dawn Hamilton of Cordele; daughters and son-in-laws Jean and Mickey Rogers of Arabi; Joy and Emory Edwards of Cordele; granddaughters, Julie Rogers, Jamey Rogers, Jenna (Blake) Hobbs, Courtney Hamilton, Carley Hamilton, and Miriam Edwards; grandsons, Heath Hamilton and William Edwards; great-grandchild, Mickensey Leigh Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack P. Hamilton. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m.
