Snow fell at Wilcox County Elementary School on Jan. 6 even though the temperature was 67 degrees! Students reaching goals set in Accelerated Reading were treated to a “Snow Day.” Snow provided by Adele Ice Company fell from the sky. Principal Gary Howell and Assistant Principal Pam Gibbs were the targets of many snow balls. Around 500 students, teachers and even the lunch room staff enjoyed the day.

Recently I had an opportunity to witness the love of God firsthand, a moment that has truly changed my outlook on life and God’s place for me in this world.
Some long time friends, Bobby and Cindy Rountree, invited me and two friends, Margie Clark and her daughter Shannon Clark, to go along with other members of Lakeview Baptist Church, to minister to the homeless on the streets of Atlanta.
