Pinehurst and Vienna volunteer firefighters poured water onto a late-model Toyota Corolla at the 113 mile marker of Interstate Highway 75 south. Upon arrival, Pinehurst firefighters found the car completely engulfed in flames, but they quickly extinguished the blaze. None of the occupants were injured. “There was no accident,” Pinehurst Fire Chief Don Williford said. “It just caught on fire.”
